MCEP Board member, Dr. Pamela Coffey, testified today at the Michigan House of Representatives Health Policy Committee hearing in opposition of HB4399. This legislation would allow for the unsupervised practice of medicine by nurse practitioners without physician oversight. MCEP stands alongside other physician organizations in Michigan in support of the patient centered, physician-led care team and in opposition of unsupervised practice of medicine by nurse practitioners.
